Ingredients
For the Garlic Cheese Spread:

For the Mushrooms:

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

8 oz mushrooms (button, cremini, or mixed), sliced

2 garlic cloves, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Toasts:

4 slices sourdough bread or baguette, thick-cut

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Gruyère cheese (for topping)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. -
Prepare the garlic cheese spread:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside. -
Cook the mushrooms:
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add mushrooms and sauté for 5–7 minutes until softened and golden.
Add minced garlic, season with salt and pepper, and cook another minute. Remove from heat. -
Toast the bread:
Lightly toast the bread slices in the oven for 5 minutes or until just crisp. -
Assemble the toasts:
Spread a generous layer of garlic cheese mixture on each slice.
Top with sautéed mushrooms and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. -
Bake:
Return to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. -
Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm!
