Tips for Perfect Chicken and Shrimp Recipes

  • Cook proteins separately: Chicken and shrimp have different cook times. Cooking them separately avoids overcooking.
  • Don’t over-marinate shrimp: 10-15 minutes is plenty; too long and the acid will start cooking it.
  • Use high heat for a good sear and to lock in juices.
  • Deglaze the pan: It captures all the flavor from the seared proteins and caramelized veggies.

Variations You’ll Love

  • Spicy Cajun-style: Add Cajun seasoning instead of Italian herbs.
  • Creamy Garlic Parmesan: Stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream and 2 tbsp grated Parmesan at the end.
  • Asian twist: Use soy sauce, ginger, and a splash of sesame oil in the marinade.
