Description
A bold and comforting American-style one-skillet meal made with tender fried cabbage, juicy shrimp, smoky sausage, and crispy bacon. Perfect for any season!
Ingredients

1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped

8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined

6 oz smoked sausage, sliced

4 slices thick-cut bacon

1 small onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)

½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil or reserved bacon drippings

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions

Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate. Reserve 1–2 tbsp of drippings in the skillet. -
Brown the Sausage
Add sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned. Remove and set aside. -
Sauté the Shrimp
Add shrimp to the skillet with a drizzle of olive oil if needed. Cook 2 minutes per side, then set aside. -
Cook the Veggies
Add onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté 3–4 minutes until softened. Add cabbage, paprika, pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook for 12–15 minutes until tender and slightly browned. -
Combine and Serve
Return shrimp, sausage, and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through. Serve hot with parsley and lemon wedges.
